As a graphic designer at New Aim, a furniture and homeware company, I was responsible for creating product images that would be used on various sales channels. This involved compositing their products onto backgrounds and creating potential interior design stylings for them.
First, the images are sent over after being shot in a professionally lit studio. I will then cut out the products and create clear images that can be used on a white or transparent background, depending on the sales channel.

Next, I source background images from stock websites and determine if they complement the product's perspective. For this kid’s table set I adjusted the background a little. Then, I analyse the shadows in the current background to edit the table set's colour and brightness. Afterward, I apply shadows that would be cast by the product to make it seamlessly fit into the environment.

Lastly, I consider the sales channels that will be using this product image. I add graphics and watermarks to the lifestyle image to stay on brand and follow the appropriate guidelines.
